This is the opportunity in the year for AIM’s members, entrepreneurs and business leaders in music, to actively engage in the democratic running of their organisation.  Members will have elected new Board members through online voting who will act as their representatives in steering AIM’s agenda and the results will be announced at the AGM.

The theme for AIM’s AGM 2023 is “A Year of Change” reflecting the changes at AIM, with a new CEO in post, new team structure, a new incoming Chair and newly elected board members being announced - but also a theme reflecting some seismic changes we are seeing in our sector and the wider music industry.

2023 has seen some significant new initiatives, such as the launch of the Music Fights Fraud Alliance, a new industry-wide agreement on Metadata in Streaming to help all creators get paid their due, the rapid evolution of AI technology in music, as well as how our industry plays its part in combatting Climate Change.

AIM’s AGM allows us a moment to reflect on these changes and to look ahead to how the ever-innovative independent community can harness the opportunities brought by change and continue to create, evolve and thrive. We have seen some significant new initiatives, such as the launch of the Music Fights Fraud Alliance, a new industry-wide agreement on Metadata in the Streaming supply chain, and of course the evolution we are seeing in AI in relation to music as well as how we play our part in countering Climate Change.
