Biography:

Dan Waite is the Chief Executive Officer for one of the world’s most successful independent rock labels, where Waite leads global strategy and innovation for Allen Kovac's Better Noise Music. With more than 25 years in the music and entertainment industry, Waite has held senior roles at MTV Int'l, AEG Europe, BBC Studios, and Time Inc, Virgin Int'l, Universal Int'l as well as artist management / agent and live entertainment roles. Waite serves on the Board of IMPALA, and chairs their Digital Committee, plus contributes to digital strategy through AIM Digital Committee and the MMF.

Personal Statement:

As CEO of Better Noise Music, one of the world’s most successful independent rock labels, I lead global strategy and innovation for a diverse roster of artists, driving sustainable growth and empowering creativity across international markets. My 25+ years in music and entertainment - spanning senior roles at MTV International, AEG Europe, BBC Studios (and more) - have given me deep expertise across recorded music, live events, artist management, digital transformation, and brand development.

I currently serve on the IMPALA Board, where I chair the Digital Committee, shaping European digital policy and platform engagement for independents. I also contribute to AIM’s Digital Committee and the Music Managers Forum, advocating for fairer market conditions, innovation, and stronger artist representation.

I am passionate about the big-picture issues facing the independent sector: the evolving streaming economy, copyright and rights protection, global supply chains, and the need to embrace technology responsibly. If elected, I would bring strategic leadership, global insight, and a commitment to helping AIM champion independents, influence industry policy, and create opportunities for rightsholders to thrive sustainably.
