Personal Statement:

As Founder and CEO of Edition Records, I’ve spent over 16 years building a globally respected independent label rooted in creativity, integrity and sustainable growth. I’ve led Edition from a small UK jazz imprint to an internationally recognised company with a diverse catalogue spanning jazz, alternative and contemporary music. My experience covers the entire music value chain—from A&R, artist development and production to distribution, licensing, sync, live partnerships and digital strategy.

I’ve developed and implemented innovative business models, including a dual-lane strategy balancing boutique, high-value physical releases with scalable digital and sampling revenue. This approach has driven consistent growth while empowering artists to retain creative and financial control.

I bring a forward-thinking, data-informed and artist-first perspective, combined with a deep understanding of the financial and operational realities of running an independent business. I’m passionate about innovation, fair remuneration, and future-proofing independents through technology, collaboration and education.

Joining the AIM Board would allow me to contribute to shaping policies and frameworks that strengthen the independent ecosystem.
