Personal Statement:
During my 15 years at Communion I have played a key role in its growth from a small startup to an established label with globally successful artists, navigating the ever-evolving challenges of marketing independent music in a fast-moving industry. Throughout this time I have experienced many of the challenges that AIM labels of varying sizes will have faced, and hope that will stand me in good stead to represent the diverse range of labels and artists that make up the membership.
In my current Operations & Partnerships role I’m in daily contact with a broad range of partners across the industry including distributors, streaming services, managers, PRs, studios, manufacturers, and physical retailers. I am excited by working closely with artists to develop streaming strategies to maximise audience growth and revenue alongside creating special physical formats that deepen fan engagement. I’m also a big advocate for the indie stores who we work with closely from the start of our artists’ careers.
I recently joined the AIM Small Labels Committee and am keen to take on a more active role as a board member, bringing my varied experience to help support AIM's great work for our vibrant, creative independent sector.
