Biography:

Still proudly independent, Mark Lippmann has built Manchester based Scruff of the Neck from its humble DIY beginnings, into the wide-reaching organisation it is today. With emphasis on the development of new artists, Mark has enabled Scruff of the Neck to go from strength to strength, evolving from local concert promoters into an award winning independent label (“Best Small Label” AIM Awards 2019), publishing, management and live company with a dynamic in-house set-up to self serve their artists whilst remaining collaborative with third parties.

Personal Statement:

Having endured a year on the AIM Board as an Observer, I have introduced and executed fresh ideas such as the 'AIM House' stage at The Great Escape 2025, creating slots for 20 artists and showcases for 10 AIM Members. I am also co-chair of the Small Label Community, a growing collaborative network for AIM's newest members. If elected to full board status, I plan to continue to help implement more real life opportunities for AIM and it's members in the UK and internationally.
